We’re thrilled to announce that Field Harmonics will appear as support act to new romantic heroes Visage at their forthcoming Birmingham date. The gig is to be held at the Institute on Thursday 19th September and forms part of Visage’s short UK tour.
Still featuring the legendary Steve Strange on vocals, as any 80s pop aficionado will tell you Visage are best known for the classic synthpop single Fade To Grey and the band enjoyed a string of Top 20 hits in the early part of the decade. Touring in support of new album Hearts And Knives, Visage got in touch with Field Harmonics’ Rob Glover and invited him to join the line-up at the Institute as a special guest (he said Yes!). FH are due onstage at 7.30pm.
Tickets for what is shaping up to be an unmissable synthpop event are available here.
There’s a host of exciting things to report relating to Field Harmonics, the new electronic pop project of epic45’s Rob Glover. Top of the list is that the debut FH album, Walls, is now available for pre-order. The album will be released on 1st July by Wayside and Woodland, and can be pre-ordered via Norman Records and Darla using the links below.
And a further Field Harmonics release comes in the shape of a new single, Happenstance, which will be available digitally in June. The single will include a radio edit version as well as remixes — more details to be announced in May.
Coming up on Saturday 4th May is your chance to appear as an extra in a video for a new FH track, Everyone. You’ll need to be available during the daytime for the shoot, which takes place in Wolverhampton. And if that wasn’t enough, the second Field Harmonics live gig is scheduled for Friday 10th May, when Rob will be playing as support to Still Corners at the Rainbow on Digbeth High Street in Birmingham.
For further information about the gig — including ticket ordering — and the video shoot, just check the links below.
Tickets are now on sale for epic45’s series of headlining mid-April shows in Birmingham, London and Manchester – and the band’s first live dates for over a year will find them rolling out old favourites and new material, together with a few surprises into the bargain. The shows will feature a four-piece line-up of Ben Holton, Rob Glover and Wayside & Woodland label-mates Eric “EL” Heath and Mike “Component#4” Rowley. See below for details of all the dates and venues and to buy your tickets. See you there!
We are really excited to announce that July Skies will be playing a special one-off set at the Assalti al Cuore #8 Festival in Rimini, Italy in a few weeks time. Ben and Rob from epic45 will be joining the July Skies live band for this set which takes place on Saturday 7th July 2012.
