Wayside & Woodland Recordings online shop
We are pleased to announce a big update to the Wayside & Woodland Bandcamp store, with lots of music now available for stream and download for the very first time.
Kicking things off there’s epic45’s Steps To Further Winter collection, originally sold as a limited edition CDR on the band’s European tour in the autumn of 2009, featuring lost gems and remixes by Isan and Simon Scott.
Then we have MAEII, the second album by My Autumn Empire — aka Ben Holton of epic45 — a classic break-up record stuffed full of guitars, pop melodies and ELO-influenced retro-futurism.
Meanwhile the Documenting The Decay and Haunted Woodland Volume Three albums by the mysterious cloaked figure of epic45 contributor Charles Vaughan are just waiting to be downloaded — ideal if you’re in the mood for the melancholy of faded soundscapes and post-war optimism, with a dash of William Basinski.
Not forgetting, either, P. Manasseh’s delicious album Ana, a quietly understated masterpiece of field recordings, drifting tones and shimmering ambience likely to be of major interest to fans of Terry Riley and Pauline Oliveros.
All these W&W releases are available on the W&W Bandcamp store right now, so check the links below for information, streams and downloads.

Union Chapel was an incredible setting to debut songs from the forthcoming My Autumn Empire album II and for sets by E.L. Heath and P.Manasseh. Thanks to all those who came along, and to Daylight Music for having us.
If you weren’t able to make it, we officially launch II this Friday at Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, surrounded by the wonderful work of walking artist Hamish Fulton. 7.30PM start, £5 on the door – all attendees will receive a free download of II on release.

You can stream the Those Mountains DJ set on Mixcloud, here.
Albums by Wayside & Woodland artists can now be purchased at Ikon Shop, Birmingham’s only independent art bookshop. We’ve selected a range of releases including epic45’s latest release Weathered, My Autumn Empire’s The Village Compass and P.Manasseh’s ANA. All available at a ‘nice price’.
As mentioned recently, My Autumn Empire will launch their new album II at Ikon on Friday 20 April, with support from E.L. Heath and P.Manasseh.
ANA (W&W010), the new release from epic45 collaborator P.Manasseh, is now available to buy from Norman Records, in an edition of 200 CDs packaged in custom, handmade card sleeves. ANA sees the multi-instrumentalist working very much in isolation, crafting minimalist compositions that are an exploration of the way we see and interpret the world, an attempt to create sonic systems based on visual patterns and structures.
A digital version is planned for Spring. Stream ‘Moire’ below:
